IDET next run in 2011 will offer a complex survey of the whole sphere of military and civilian security of the subn-title Fairs of Integrated Rescue System. This new project will include the International Exhibition of Defence and Security Technologies IDET and the International Fair for Fire-Fighting Equipment, Security Technology and Services PYROS/ISET which will be staged jointly from May 11 – 13, 2011.
Organizers react on the present development worldwide and also on the demands of the exhibitors. Just security technology, presented at IDET in Hall Z, was an emphasized branch of the exhibition and also an augury of a new concept.
One of the largest world shows of defence technologies in Central and Eastern Europe is the IDET Fair. Exhibitors from about 30 countries present their products to foreign army delegations and professionals all over the world. The Brno IDET has acquired, within 12 years of its existence, a fixed position in the company of the best world shows of defence technologies. Present political situation and trade fair geographical position are a presupposition of its development, also in the next years.
In the Czech Republic IDET has become an important social event at which thousands of visitors, hundreds of professionals, tens of army delegations and war veterans meet every two years. In 2005 IDET was the largest branch-related fair in Europe and since 1997 it has been European number one in uneven years.
An integral part of every show run is a rich accompanying program, where professionals in defence technology discuss about topical themes. Its major part is as usual the International Conference CATE.
